About The Doggy Walker
I’m Christie Sneddon and I have two great passions in life, dogs and the great outdoors. After 20 years spent working behind a desk I decided to take the plunge and turn these passions into my business.
As The Doggy Walker I specialise in dog walking and dog sitting in Wargrave, Henley-on-Thames and the surrounding area.
After growing up surrounded by animals including horses, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens and the occasional stick insect, I now share my home with my husband and our two beloved dogs Luka and Arielle. Luka is a gorgeous Husky German Shepherd cross who keeps me on my toes and has taught me a lot about caring for and handling dogs.
We rescued Arielle from the streets of Romania after seeing her photo on a Facebook appeal. I knew she was meant to be our dog and, after being rescued near-death and nursed back to health, she joined our family in November 2014.
As a volunteer at Dog Trouble, a dog rehabilitation centre that works with dogs with behavioural issues, I have had the opportunity to work with all types of dogs and learn about different dog behaviour, body language and how they interact.
I’m a member of the National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers (NARPS UK) and have passed the NARPS UK Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Course. I’m fully insured, DBS checked and Canine First Aid Trained. I also have diplomas in Canine Behaviour Training and Canine Communication, both passed with distinction.
My vehicle has been custom designed for maximum safety and comfort for your dog. It’s fully air conditioned and ventilated with individual crates for each dog. The van also has a fully stocked doggy first aid kit.
Please contact me if you require any further information. I would love the opportunity to meet both you and your four-legged friend!
