Gorgeous Gilda...in search of her forever home

Gilda is a lovely Rottie mix from Romania.  She had a tough start in life but is adjusting well to life in the UK and loves to love people.  Gilda is currently in foster with friends of mine and is looking for a family to call her own.  Can you help?

Gilda's Favourite Things
  • Being with people.
  • Having a pack to keep her company and make her feel safe.
  • Squirrels, pigeons, cats!
  • FOOD!
  • A comfy bed, a quiet crate, a soft sofa, a foot or lap to rest her head.
Gilda's Quirks
  • She pulls on lead when she thinks squirrels, pigeons or cats may be on her path, otherwise she walks to heel.
  • She is not good meeting other dogs face to face.  Best to start a walk together and then she is fine.
  • She needs a firm owner that will not let her rule the roost.  If she is allowed to be top dog, she will be.
  • She will flinch if you move to quickly.  A typical sign of an abusive past.
  • Best not to go to a family with small children as she is quite boisterous when playing.  Unless of course the family is used to working with such exuberance!

Testimonials

"When we moved from London to Henley, securing the best possible daily dog care was a worry to us. Now we regularly revel in just how lucky we are to have found Christie. She goes above and beyond with her care, is knowledgable, fun and totally adored by both us and our dog.
Wally is living the absolute dream, and by knowing he’s in the best hands in the business when we leave the house each morning, so are we (work aside)! We cannot thank you enough Christie, just hoping the daily doting looks, facial licks and loving lollops from your biggest Basset fan will do!"
